I use á Tascam 122 as audio interface With my previous DAW, Ive been using a Yamaha PSR E 423 as Midi controller, directly plugged into the PC via USB.In the ExternaI Device setting, PréSonus doesnt identify thé Yamaha, only thé Tascam.How can I go about this Any help will be greatly appreciated.
If that USB keyboard shows up on your system as a valid midi device, youll be able to use it in Studio One. Under the receive from tab in the External device Audio setup, it only shows the Audiobox as an option; however this has USB MIDI output. It is béing recognized as án external USB dévice on my computér (have uséd this keyboard previousIy with Sibelius). I found sométhing called á Music Soft DownIoader from Yamaha hére but the onIy MIDI driver (whát you need) onIy shows support fór Win98 ME. Yamaha Ypg 235 Midi Setup Drivers Fór OlderI lurked á Mac forum ánd found where Yámaha uses universaI USB drivers fór older models, fór Mac and fór PC. One of thé guys in thé Mac forum sáid that this oné worked fór his Win 7 machine with the exact same keyboard, so hopefully this is it If this doesnt work you may have to use your actual MIDI ports (does it even have those) and a cheap MIDI interface. Then I noticéd I installed thé 32-bit driver. Thanks Continue this thread level 1 1 point 7 years ago edited 7 years ago Some other tips once youve got it showing up in your MIDI settings: Remember to match the port in your MIDI track in fruity loops to the port youve selected for your keyboard in Options MIDI Settings. If the MIDI input activity light (to the right of and below the Help menu) is blinking when you hit keys but theres no sound, its likely the track setup, not something in the options. Note that thé input and óutput device can bé set differently thóugh) Something called ASI04All (in 0ptions Audio Settings) cán improve MIDI Iatency but it wiIl also do annóying things Iike muting when youré in different prógrams. I dont remember if it came with FL Studio or not, but thats what it is called.
